The Centaurs of Canterlot

The MLP girls as the Centaurs from Fantasia.

My friend culled me into watching MLP to a drinking game I ended up falling in love with the girls (Thank you Lauren Faust!) And so here I am joining the rest of the internet in the crazy MLP obsession.

When I was a little girl, I'd watch fantasia pretty obsessively, always for the scenes with the unicorns and centaurs. While I always thought the princesses were lovely, to me, disney's most beautiful ladies were those centaurs. They were so angelic, colorful and pretty. So I really was excited to draw the girls as the original centaurs. I thought it'd combine my love for gijinka with drawing the ponies themselves. I kept it flat, just like the animation style used in Fantasia.

Also I'm now in love with the idea of Pinkie Pie's tail being so comfortable to nap in.
